Please Wake Me From My Chiari Nightmare - a Photo Composition

My latest photo composite. It took me a while to get it to come together, because I was doing it not only for me, but for my entire Chiari family. I hope this visual helps explain to those who do not suffer with Chiari what it feels like. And yes, I have shed a tear or two in the creation of this piece.

Sound of Silence - Hello Darkness

I am a little too obsessed right now with Disturbed's version of Sound of Silence.  I have been wanting to make a composite based on that song, but every time I went to put it on "paper" it became too busy.  I decided to take each verse, or several verses at a time, and make individual composites.  My first one is Hello Darkness. 

"Hello darkness, my old friend
I've come to talk with you again
Because a vision softly creeping
Left it's seeds while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains within the sound of silence"

Fine Art

I couldn't come up with a name for this, but I liked how it turned out!
The texture was created by me, and will be in the store soon. 

My Latest Fine Art Pieces

I enjoyed creating just for me yesterday!  All the textures/overlays will be in my store at some point, as will 8 x 10 and 11 x 14 prints for sale. 

 

Silo Grunge

This was fun.  I did a lesson for the Fine Art Grunge class tonight that was about layering photos and changing the blending modes, layer more, blend more, etc, etc.  I could keep going on all night long adding textures and blending it, then adding a filter, blending, masking out what I don't want filtered, but I decided I liked the way this looked.  It sort of makes me think a space ship or something landed just beyond the trees.

Fine Art Grunge

Just today I purchased the Fine Art Grunge class and I am having so much fun already!  This wasn't really thought out and I was just playing with the things I have downloaded from the class so far with a picture of mine. Keep in mind this is the very first thing I have done since starting the class - which hasn't gotten into really much of anything yet.  I am sure I will look back on this in two to three months and laugh, but for now, I think it's kinda cool.  

The following is a composite of a photo I took in Tavaras, Florida with the waterfalls at Keuka Outlet Trail.  The gazebo type thing was taken at Longwood Gardens.  A top layer of the Taveras photo was inverted and put on a blending mode so everything turned purple.
